It is time for me to attempt my first blog posting. I only hope that this goes better than the rice debacle, or SoFlaMom will ban me from this as well. Now if I can only do that with the housework………..
I thought I would share a recent conversation where I was asked:
“Since you do not know your visitor’s ancestry you won’t know her idiosyncrasies, how do you handle that?”
Having read books concerning children in orphanages or foster care, I thought that I would be fine with this. All of a sudden all the potential problems surrounding these children went rushing through my head. This person brought up a good point! What should I expect?
As parents do we really know what to expect? Do we look at worst case scenarios and breathe a sigh of relief when they don’t happen to us? Or do we just over analyze things?
I remember the movie Parenthood, where the Grandmother made the comment:
“Life is like a rollercoaster."
Isn't life full of unexpected events. That is part of what makes it so exciting.
Count Down: 7 days
Oh, how did I answer their question?
"I love rollercoasters!"
